BRISTOL AIRPORT SOLAR FARM
Alium provided Quantity Surveying and Employer’s Agent services from initial feasibility through to completion for a 2.8-acre solar farm constructed adjacent to the active runway. The 1.4 MW installation supplies around 16% of the airport’s energy demand.
The works were procured via a single-stage competitive tender and let under the JCT Design and Build Contract 2016. Delivery was tightly coordinated with key airport stakeholders, including Engineering, Operations, and the Fire Service, to maintain airside safety and minimise operational impact.
